Reading the site

You can read our articles without an account. We do not run analytics, advertising trackers, comment forms, mailing-list forms or affiliate tracking links. We do not set our own cookies to track you across websites.

The site is hosted by Netlify. Like other web hosting services, it handles technical information needed to deliver pages and protect its service. This can include an IP address, browser details, requested URL and request time. See Netlify’s privacy policy for its handling of personal information.

Our pages use AMP. Your browser may request the AMP runtime from Google’s AMP content delivery network. That request exposes technical connection information, including your IP address, to the service receiving it. We do not add AMP analytics. Search engines may also serve cached versions of AMP pages under their own policies. See Google’s privacy policy.

When you email us

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and anything you choose to attach. We use that information to handle your request and related correspondence. Please do not send passport details, payment information or other sensitive information that we do not need.

You can ask us to correct or delete information you have sent by emailing the address above. We will review the request and any need to retain information to resolve an ongoing matter or meet a legal duty. We may need to confirm that a request comes from the right person.

Links and bookings

Our articles link to hotels and other websites. Those sites handle their own bookings, payments and personal information under their own policies. We do not operate the hotels we discuss or take hotel reservations on this website.

There are no affiliate links on this site at launch. If we add them in the future, we may earn a commission when a reader makes a purchase through a qualifying link. We will identify those links where appropriate and update this policy. A possible future program does not mean a current link earns a commission.

Editorial identity and AI assistance

Avery Lane is an editorial pen name used by claramountinn.com, with a generated illustrated portrait. AI assists with research, drafting and site production. First-person recommendations express editorial judgment; they do not claim a personal hotel stay or firsthand test. Guest experiences remain attributed to their sources.

Photographs are credited where required. Images labeled as illustrations are artwork, not photographs of a hotel or a person.

Children and changes to this policy

Our family-travel articles are written for adults planning trips. We do not offer accounts or forms for children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can address it.
